Directions:

Follow these step-by-step directions when using E-6000 Industrial Strength Craft Adhesive:

  1. Please read all directions before using. E-6000 should be used in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Surface should be clean, dry and free of dirt. For best results, roughen surface before use.
  3. Puncture the seal in the neck of the tube using the pointer cap.
  4. Test small area before full use.
  5. Best when used between 70°F and 85°F.
  6. Apply E-6000 to both surfaces. Let E-6000 set 5-10 minutes then press surface together. E-6000 applies and dries clear.
  7. For maximum strength, allow the bond to dry longer than 48 hours.
  8. Keep threads at the neck of the tube free of E-6000 residue. To ensure easy cap removal, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to the threads of the tube before replacing the cap.
  9. Clean uncured adhesive with small amounts of acetone or citrus-based solvents. Cured material may be removed by cutting or scraping.
  10. Store unused E-6000 at room temperature in a dry area.

Answers to E6000 Craft Adhesive Questions
What temperature range does E-6000 withstand?
E-6000 can be applied in temperatures ranging from (50°F) to (90°F). When cured, E-6000 can withstand temperatures between (-40°F) and (150°F).
Is E-6000 UV resistant?
Cured E-6000 may be painted over for maximum UV resistance. Clear E-6000 is not formulated for exposure to sunlight.
Can E-6000 be used on Styrofoam™?
No. E-6000 is also not recommended for use on any polystyrene, polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.
Will E-6000 crack or break under stress?
E-6000 dries to a rubber-like consistency that is flexible and moves with adhered material.
Is E-6000 washer/dryer safe?
Yes. E-6000 will hold on substrates applied to fabrics that are put through the washer and dryer. Dry cleaning, however, is not recommended. Dry cleaning solvent breaks down cured adhesive.
Can the free applicator tip be reused?
Yes. The tips are made of special non-stick plastic. Allow the E-6000 to dry, and then pull it out through the threaded end.
Is E-6000 safe for photographs?
Yes. E-6000 is photograph-safe and acid-free after a full cure of 24-72 hours at 70°F.
How long does E-6000 take to dry?
E-6000 starts getting tacky in approximately 2 minutes and begins setting in approximately 10 minutes. A full cure takes between 24 and 72 hours.

*Remember, temperature and humidity will affect dry time. To speed drying, apply heat using a handheld dryer set on low. Do not hold directly on E-6000.
What is used to clean up uncured E-6000?
Small amounts of acetone or naphtha for uncured E-6000. Cured E-6000 may be removed by cutting and scraping.
